New year 2020

This is the first Tet ever since I was born, I don’t have to visit relatives on the 1st day of the Lunar New Year. And ever since I worked and earned money, I feel a little bit confused (and sometimes frustrated) when received lucky money. These adults give the ‘shaming’ money with some trolling questions like: “Have you got any boyfriends?”, “What are you doing?”, “How was the school?”, “My son, he did not go to college and now he travels abroad several times a year.”

In compensation, the weather is too freaking bad to describe by proper words. The 1st day welcomed me with the rain tapping directly to my face (when I was working as a full-time dog caregiver).

Each year, I set a plan full of checklists to achieve. But when the year ended, I refused to have a look at it, because I knew I could not check any of them with the full joy. If it was not for my laziness, it could be some unexpected obstacles that prevented me from completing with 100% passion.

In addition to the achievements, I guess the feeling of achieving a goal is far more valuable. Last year, I’ve done lots of things I wrote down, it turned out lots of (lessons and) worthy experience that I would never forget.

So it is not how many things are crossed off that matters, it is how much happiness you find in each one you’ve gone through.

I wish you, and me a happy year. Because we wish a happy new year, don’t we?

Don’t just limit the happiness on something new!
